Jesús Vladimir Valle Choque (born 25 July 2000), known by his stage name Faraón Love Shady, is a Peruvian singer, rapper, songwriter, and Internet celebrity. He is characterized for his extravagant clothing style, having multicolored hair, and writing songs that contain sexually explicit lyrics.[5][6][7][8]

He debuted with the single "Sin Condón". His second single, "Panocha", includes a remix in collaboration with Ele A el Dominio and Jon Z. The video surpassed 17 million views on YouTube after its release.

Early life[]

Jesus Vladimir Valle Choque was born in Arequipa, Peru, on 25 July.[9][10] After finishing school, he sang on public buses in exchange for money and worked as a street vendor.[11]

Musical career[]

Faraón Love Shady signed a recording contract with Hibrído Gang Music and began publishing his songs on digital platforms.[12] In August, he released his first single "Sin Condón"[13] followed by the release of his second single "Panocha" in November.[14] He released his third single "Sexy" in January 2020.[15] His song "Oh Me Vengo" was released to music streaming platforms and websites in the same year. The song achieved success on these platforms and became well known by different urban music artists.[16]

Faraón Love Shady also had a song that reached the top in Peru, "Panocha Remix," featuring Jon Z and Ele A el Dominio.[17] Faraón called this single his "big hit" and credited Jon Z and Ele A El Dominio for giving him greater recognition by featuring them as support.[18] In April, Faraón released his song "Por el Asterisco" featuring Kevvo. In September, he released his most popular single at the time, "Soy Guapo".[19] On 24 August 2020, Faraón was interviewed by Billboard Argentina magazine.[20][21][22][23]

In November 2020, he was invited to the El reventonazo de la chola América Televisión program,[24][25] where he performed the song "Ponte Mascarilla" with La Tigresa del Oriente.[26] Later, he participated in the Trap Live Peru 2020 virtual concert produced by Black Records.[27] In April 2021, Faraón Love Shady reached one million subscribers on YouTube.[28] In July 2021 he released a remix of "Duro 2 Horas" featuring El Bananero.[29]

Artistry[]

Faraón described himself as the "King of Trap." His fans are known as "Hibrído Gang". Faraón's logo has a red spot above his stage name. His videos show him with different necklaces that attract the attention of the public, including many mocking reactions.[30]

Faraón cites American Reggaetón and trap singer Tekashi 6ix9ine as his favorite singers and has publicly expressed his support for 6ix9ine to be released from jail.[31][32] In addition, his hair highlights show great admiration for the artist. While many of his songs include sexually explicit lyrics, he has avoided lyrics that explicitly objectify or disrespect women. Faraón has stated that his music and lyrics are sexually explicit and "women shouldn't be offended because it is aimed at hot women who like to be talked dirty to," according to him, "that turns them on". His songs often speak of relationships and heartbreaks, inspired by what other artists are doing and what his audience wants.[33]

Public image[]

As the Colombian singer J Balvin describes, "What do I think of Faraón Love Shady? It seems to me that he is a person who represents his country, in his own way and in his own style, each person has their way of doing things."[34][35][36]

Controversies[]

In 2020, he caused controversy with the high caliber and controversial lyrics in his songs that he uploaded to YouTube.[37] However, he has won the affection of many followers on social networks, who constantly support him in the face of criticism.[38]
