Farhad Ameen Saleem Atrushi (Farhad Atrushi), former governor of Duhok province in Kurdistan Region of Iraq (2014-2020). He was sworn as the governor of Iraq's Duhok province on June 12, 2014, in Iraqi Kurdistan. Atrushi served previously as a member of the Iraqi Parliament 2010 to 2014 during which he was a member of oil and gas committee (Energy Committee). He was lecturing at the College of Law and Politics, University of Duhok from 2006 to 2010. He was the Deputy Head of Department at Law School – Nawroz University in Duhok from 2004 to 2006. In 2001 he was lecturing on constitutional International Islamic University in Malaysia.

Farhad Atrushi is a graduate of International Islamic University Malaysia. There he completed his master's degree. Farhad Atrushi is a member of the board of trustees of the American University of Kurdistan- Duhok (AUK-D).
