The Federation of Awarding Bodies is the British trade association for further education providers. The current chief executive is Tom Bewick.
History[]
It was founded in 2000.
Function[]
It represents providers of vocational education qualifications, not providers of more-typical academic qualifications. [1][2]
The Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) represents academic providers.
The National Careers Service also works in the same field.
Structure[]
It is situated on the A3214 in central London.[3] Qualification bodies that it represents include Ofqual, SQA, Qualifications Wales and CCEA
