Fighting the Flames is a 1925 drama film directed by B. Reeves Eason.[1] It is not known whether the film currently survives.[2]

Premise[]

Horatio Manly is thrown in jail for impeding firefighters' ability to put out a hotel fire. His father also disowns him and forbids him from coming home until he can make a man of himself. Horatio then joins the fire department to make up for his past mistake and prove to his father that he is a real man.[1][3]

During the filming of the scene where William Welsh goes into a burning building to rescue its occupants, a burning ceiling fell on top of him. He escaped serious injury after William Haines quickly lifted the ceiling off of him.[4]
