First Commission of the People's Representative Council

First Commission of the People's Representative Council (Indonesian: Komisi I Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Republik Indonesia) is one of eleven commissions of the Indonesian People's Representative Council (DPR). It is responsible for matters regarding national defense, foreign affairs, information, communications, and intelligence.

Membership[]

For the 2019-2024 parliamentary session, the First Commission has 52 members, led by a Chair and four Co-Vice Chairs. The Commission is overseen by the First Deputy Speaker, currently Azis Syamsuddin of Golkar.[1]
