• Madagascar fish eagle, Haliaeetus vociferoides, native to Madagascar
• Sanford's fish eagle, Haliaeetus sanfordi, of the Solomon Islands

Three that are often confused, of South Asia:

• Grey-headed fish eagle, Haliaeetus ichthyaetus
• Lesser fish eagle, Haliaeetus humilis, in the Indian subcontinent, mostly in Himalayan foothills
• Pallas's fish eagle or band-tailed fish eagle, Haliaeetus leucoryphus
