Fortuna Entertainment Group a.s.[1] is a leading omni-channel betting and gaming operator in Central and Eastern Europe.[2] Through its subsidiaries, it is active in the Czech Republic (consumer brand: Fortuna), Slovakia (consumer brand: Fortuna), Poland (consumer brand: Fortuna), Romania consumer brands: Fortuna, Casa Pariurilor) and Croatia (consumer brand: PSK).[3]

The company was established in the Czech Republic in 1991.[4] It was founded by four private private investors Petr Bouma, Jiří Balcar, Josef Kurka and Michal Horáček and became one of the first-ever joint-stock companies in the country’s modern history. The first branch was opened in the Lucerna passage in Prague in the same year. The Slovakian affiliate, Terno, was established in 1991. It was founded together with Richard Müller and Igor Nosko. Penta Investments became the group owner in 2005 who enabled expansion to Poland through the acquisition of Poland’s Profesjonał betting office. The Fortuna Entertainment Group (FEG) was established in 2009 as a holding company to keep pace with our growth and became the largest Central European betting operator. FEG launched Fortuna brand in Romania in 2014.

In 2017, when the new Czech gambling legislation was adopted, FEG was one of the first companies who launch an online casino in the Czech Republic. The platform is divided into two sections: Fortuna Vegas and Fortuna Casino, the former focusing primarily slot machines, the latter providing live betting.[5] The same year, FEG acquired the Hattrick Sports Group with operations in Croatia and Romania under the brands Casa Pariurilor, Hattrick, and PSK. In 2020 FEG acquired Idea-Spark, an independent data science & technology company based in Hyderabad[6] that was in 2021 rebranded to FEG India Solutions Private Limited.
