Futbol Consultants is an American sports agency focused on generating international opportunities for International soccer players and managers. The agency has offices in Washington, DC, Richmond, Virginia, Pensacola, Florida, and San José, Costa Rica.

Futbol Consultants represents numerous professional athletes and coaches, but has also developed a novel approach of putting amateur Costa Rican players in contact with collegiate soccer programs in the United States.[1][2] The founders of Futbol Consultants are former Costa Rican players who moved to the United States to attend universities on soccer scholarships, leading the agency to focus on creating similar opportunities for both Costa Rican men and women.[3]

Organization[]

Fútbol Consultants has four subdivisions:

  • FC Foundation: Department of social help, responsible for receiving donations for students.
  • FC College: Department in charge of granting athletics scholarship in universities of the United States.
  • FC Academy: Responsible for the soccer teaching of young people enrolled.
  • FC Professional: Responsible for the representation of professional players and coaches in Central and North America.

Futbol Consultants also has a number of Costa Rican clients who work around the world as managers and coaches, including Alexandre Guimaraes,[7] head coach of Tianjin Teda F.C. in the Chinese Super League, and Ricardo Iribarren, assistant coach of the Columbus Crew.
