GG Bond (simplified Chinese: 猪猪侠; traditional Chinese: 豬豬俠) is a 3D Chinese animated TV series created by Zhibin Gu a.k.a. Ben Gu, a member of the China Animation Association, and CEO of Guang Dong Winsing Company Limited. A film series based on the TV series has currently four films: (2012),[1] GG Bond 2 (2014), GG Bond Movie: Ultimate Battle (2015) and GG Bond: Guarding (2017).[2]

Background[]

The series is about the titular character, an intelligent and mischievous pig named GG Bond (猪猪侠, meaning "Pig Hero" in Chinese) under the care and custody of Dr. Mihoo, his teacher who enjoys inventing different gadgets. The series began in 2005 and has aired for 14 seasons in 3D computer-generated animation.[citation needed] The production company has distributed one season of episodes yearly since 2005. Most seasons are completely distinct and do not share the same canon, but Season 16 affirmed the existence of a multiverse within the series to explain the inconsistencies.

A majority of GG Bond episodes are comedies with moral lessons regarding values such as courage, friendship, harmony, integrity, perseverance, and respect for elders. Several noteworthy environmental issues are also often discussed, including homeless animals, environmental damage, deforestation, and pollution.[citation needed] Episodes of the series often include a humorous take on classic fairy tales with modern technology. Seasons 1-12 all contained 52 episodes, while seasons 13 and 14 contained 124 and 104 episodes respectively. Seasons 1-6 each tell a distinct story, while seasons 7-9 and 10-12 both told three-season sagas, with the original format resuming in Season 13. Seasons 10, 11, and 12 aired in halves. Season 13 aired in semi-quarters of 26, 26, 36, and 26 episodes while Seasons 14 and 15 aired in perfect quarters.[citation needed]

They form the Kung-Fu team, a private organization dedicated to keeping order, and task themselves with gathering Element X to upgrade and evolve their powers so that they may combine their powers and perform astonishing feats. Woody is roughly the size of a dog, but can transform into giant robots. For the time being, he remained on the Fairy World doing random deeds, controlling plot lines several episodes long. As a primer, life becomes relaxed for now.

Second Quarter: After a confrontation with the alien lord Dracula, GG Bond's life does not change much. He continues his odd life as an agent, not thinking much of it. However, Mihoo begins to dwell on his life before his banishment to the fairy world by the Galactic Alliance. The agents are left unaware of this, continuing their lives with newfound high tech. A mechanical mosquito pandemic begins, while a starship watches from the shadows...

Third Quarter: The Galactic Alliance has assaulted the Fairy World, forcing Mihoo to summon his starship and evacuate the five agents. Woody is severely wounded in the process, and his IQ degrades to that of a common pet. Now on the run from the galactic government, the agents escape to the plastic planets of the outer rim. They begin a quest to assemble the four long-lost friends of Mihoo, to engage in a guerilla war to retake the government.

Fourth Quarter: After an assault on the galactic capital loses the agents their ship, they crash on the planet and lose most of their memories due to an anomaly. GG Bond Season 14: Dodgeball Legend (2018)[]

After a practice session with Super Q's team, GG Bond registers as a "comet" level team, and must win ten consecutive games to become as professionals and join the planetary league.

Second Quarter: After experiencing many challenges, GG Bond's team gets stronger and joins the planetary league. There, they begin a friend-foe relationship with Super Q's team, often working together to climb the rankings. Phoebe's grandfather begins to disapprove of her joining a relatively unknown dark horse team. After multiple refused requests by the Little Tigers for him to acquire them, and some harsh training with Mihoo's retired teacher, Windy, they qualify for the biennial International Cup. Phoebe's grandfather deploys his top team, the Black Holes, to meet them in the finals; a fierce battle is inevitable for GG Bond to be champion.

Third Quarter: Claiming victory in the International Cup, the Little Tigers are promoted to the stellar league. Phoebe's grandfather is exasperated, but his chief scientist and master magician Joe Bailey preps a new project. He begins to kidnap magic pets from players, and kills them to extract their energy. After he destroys Super Q's team with his newfound powers when they refused his requests, their remnants joined the Little Tigers. The newly expanded team begins a hard-fought battle to climb the rankings, and soon becomes the top team in the stellar league. Joe Bailey brainwashes one of GG Bond's oldest friends, Nutty, and manipulates him into working for him by infusing him with his stolen energy. GG Bond leads the Little Tigers in the final game of the season, determined to purify Nutty once and for all.

Fourth Quarter: GG Bond narrowly defeats Nutty, forcing him to embrace the light once more. Joe Bailey has used his newfound powers to open a portal to an alternate dimension, stockpiled with magical pets. He stages a heist and obtains their spirit heart, a crystal possessing power orders of magnitude more than anyone in history. GG Bond leads the Little Tigers in a futile attempt to stop him, but nonetheless obtain the power to fuse completely with their magic pets, instantly raising their power to a level capable of elevating them to the status of one of the strongest teams in the galaxy. Having won their stellar league, and now possessing unprecedented power due to their fusions, the Little Tigers qualify for the Space Cup, the top-level competition between the 64 top teams of the galaxy. With all their strength, GG Bond leads the team to their narrowest victories in five consecutive games against top-tier galactic teams, qualifying tor the finals. Joe Bailey bribes his way onto team "Chasm," and uses the power of the spirit heart to effortlessly obliterate every opponent, including the infamous Eternals. This turn of events becomes a major upset for the Little Tigers, who expected to face the Eternals in the finals rather than Joe Bailey. As the only team that could hope to have a chance against Joe Bailey's near endless powers, due to their perfect fusions, GG Bond and Woody lead the Little Tigers into the finals. They both know that despite their power, there was only one only once-used method to triumph, which could cost one of them their life...
