Games and Culture is a peer-reviewed academic journal that covers the field of culture and media studies, specializing on the socio-cultural, political, and economic dimensions of gaming. The editor-in-chief is Tanya Krzywinska (Falmouth University). It was established in 2006 and is published by SAGE Publishing.

Nowadays, video games are no longer only video games anymore, it plays a significant role in helping us understand today’s world and society. Video games becomes an important part of our cultural landscape, just like other media formats, such as radio, music, films, TVs, or books are gradually becoming embedded in our daily life and effect on other areas of social life.[1]
