Gangwar (social group)

Gangwar is a sub caste within the larger Kurmi caste of northern India. It is a farming community and has its members in the districts of Bareilly and Pilibhit in Uttar Pradesh.[1][2] Other sub caste of Kurmis from Uttar Pradesh include sub castes like Sachan, Katiyar, Jaiswar, Baiswar.[2]
