Gary Tinterow

Gary Tinterow (born 1953, Louisville, Kentucky) is an art historian with a focus on 19th-century French art. He is currently director of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.[1] Tinterow studied at Brandeis University, did his graduate work at Harvard, and was a 2008 fellow at the Center for Curatorial Leadership of the Columbia University Business School.[2] Prior to directing the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Tinterow was curator in charge in the department of 19th century, modern, and contemporary art, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.[3]
