Geidam is a Local Government Area in Yobe State, Nigeria. Its headquarters are in the town of Geidam in the northwest of the area at

12°53′49″N 11°55′49″E / 12.89694°N 11.93028°E / 12.89694; 11.93028. On 24 April 2021 terrorists from ISWAP seized Geidam killing 11 people, and over 6,000 residents were displaced.[1] However, the Nigerian Armed Forces retook the town after an offensive against the terrorists.[2][3][4]

It has an area of 4,357 km² and a population of 157,295 at the 2006 census.
