The General Directorate for Cultural Heritage Rhineland-Palatinate (German: Generaldirektion Kulturelles Erbe), or GDKE, is responsible for the management of cultural heritage in Rhineland-Palatinate. The head office of the Memorial Authority, founded on 1 January 2007, is the Erthaler Hof in Mainz. The Director general has been Thomas Metz since August 1, 2007.

The Landesdenkmalpflege, which also has its headquarters in the Erthaler Hof in Mainz, is responsible for the scientific collection, research and documentation of cultural monuments, as well as providing responsible advice on important repair measures. The core tasks include locating of the cultural monuments and updating the list of monuments. Since 15 July 2015, provincial curator Roswitha Kaiser is the director of this authority.
