George H. Ray

George H. Ray was Speaker of the Wisconsin State Assembly.

Biography[]

Ray was born on October 4, 1847 in St. Stephen, New Brunswick. He died on October 31, 1910.[1]

Career[]

Ray was first elected to the Assembly in 1894. He served as Speaker during the 1899 and 1901 sessions. Previously, he had been a member of the Gardiner, Maine City Council. Additionally, Ray was a member of the La Crosse County, Wisconsin, serving as Chairman for two years.[2] He was a Republican.
