George N. Baird

George N. Baird is an American computer scientist who was awarded the Grace Murray Hopper Award in 1974 for his successful development and implementation of the US Department of Defense COBOL Compiler Validation System.[1] His work on the system was published at an AFIPS computer conference in 1972.[2]
