Ghursay

Ghursay. གྷུར་སེ། Urdu غورسے is the largest village of district Ghanche, Pakistan . It is about 25km² and 15km to 25km away from district headquarter Khaplu. Ghursay is approximately 14km in length and 2.5km in width but width squeeze due to several flood and today it is about 300m average. Once upon a time Ghursay was the largest village after Skardu the largest city of Baltistan but due to flood it is no more large Village. Besides Skardu city Ghursay village is largest village of Baltistan having 25 square kilometers plain area. Ghursay village is also early settlement of Baltistan. Before 16 century people call this area ( including sailing village) Tsai Thang city but due to great flood in 16 century this city was demolished .
