Gleb Fetisov (Russian: Глеб Геннадьевич Фетисов; (born June 5, 1966, in Elektrostal, Moscow Region, USSR) is a Russian billionaire.,[1][2] investor,[3] film producer[4] with Oscar-nominated movie productions,[5] Member of the National Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences of Russia,[6][7] formerly involved in the Russian banking industry,[8] Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences,[9] PhD and professor of economics and finance,[10] former member of the Federation Council for the Voronezh Region[11] (2001—2009) and former chair of Green Alliance party[12] (2012—2015).

Film Production[]

Film producer Gleb Fetisov's works include “Some Like It Cold”[13] (2014); “Chef”[14] (2014) directed by Jon Favreau, starring Dustin Hoffman, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr, Sofia Vergara; “The Duelist”[15] (2016) directed by  [fr]; “Loveless”[16] (Non-Stop Production and Fetisoff Illusion, 2017) directed by Andrey Zvyagintsev and awarded the Jury Prize[17] at the Cannes Film Festival, the César Award,[18] the Grand Prix[19] at the BFI London Film Festival; and a WW2 drama “Sobibor”.[20] (2018, Cinema Production, Fetisoff Illusion) starring Konstantin Khabensky[21] and Christopher Lambert.[22] “Loveless” was nominated[23] and “Sobibor” was selected[24] for Oscar in the Best Foreign Language Film category[25] in 2018.

Persecution[]

In December 2015, he resigned from his position at the Green Alliance Party and withdrew from politics.[26] In 2015, the U.S. Department of State included Gleb Fetisov in the list of persons under “politically motivated unfounded criminal prosecution” in their home country.[27]

My Bank[]

On 28 February 2014, Fetisov was arrested by the Russian Investigative Committee on suspicion of fraud as part of criminal investigation into the bankruptcy of My Bank.[citation needed] In May 2017, the London Court of International Arbitration declared Gleb Fetisov not responsible for the bankruptcy of My Bank.[28]
