Glyphidocera castanella is a moth in the family Autostichidae. It was described by Adamski and Brown in 2001. It is found in Venezuela.[1]

The length of the forewings is 7.3 mm. The forewing colour consists of brown scales tipped with pale brown and brown scales along the costal area. The discal spots are faint and the marginal scales are brown. The hindwings are pale brown.

Etymology[]

The species name refers to the brown color of the species and is derived from Latin castaneus (meaning brown).[2]
