Gnathotona is a monotypic moth genus in the family Depressariidae. Its only species, Gnathotona thermopsamma, is found in Paraguay. Both the genus and species were first described by Edward Meyrick in 1931.[1]
The wingspan is about 17 mm. The forewings are ferruginous ochreous with the dorsal area suffused with whitish ochreous, with a few scattered blackish specks. The hindwings are whitish.[2]
