Gokul Medh is an archaeological site in Bangladesh. It is an excavated mound in the village of Gokul under Shibganj Upazila of Bogra.[1] It is known locally as Behula Lakshindarer Basar Ghar, and it is also popularly called Lakshindar Medh.[2]

Location[]

It is about 2 km (1.2 mi) southwest of Mahasthangarh citadel and 12 km (7.5 mi) far from Bogra town.[3]

History[]

The Archaeology Department of Bangladesh estimates that it was built between the 7th and 12th centuries. It is said that it was the bridal chamber of Behula.
