Golestan District

Golestan District (Persian: بخش گلستان) is a district (bakhsh) in Baharestan County, Tehran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population (including the portions later split off to form Baharestan County) was 317,731, in 78,298 families.[1] The District has two cities: Golestan and Salehieh. Nasirabad, which had formerly belonged to the District, became part of Baharestan County in 2011.[2] The District has two rural districts (dehestan): Meymanat Rural District and Salehabad Rural District.
