The Golovec District (Slovene: Četrtna skupnost Golovec), or simply Golovec, is a (mestna četrt) of the City Municipality of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. It encompasses , which dates back to the Carboniferous period and consists of clastic rock (siltstone, claystone and sandstone).
