Gopura Vasalile (transl. At the doorstep of the gopuram)^[a] is a 1991 Indian Tamil-language black comedy film directed by Priyadarshan. A remake of the Malayalam film Pavam Pavam Rajakumaran (1990), it stars Karthik and Bhanupriya.^[1]

Production[]

Malayalam director Priyadarshan was to have made his Tamil debut with the film Chinnamanikkuyile, which never saw a theatrical release. As a result, Gopura Vasalile became his Tamil debut.^[2]

Soundtrack[]

The original score and six original songs for the movie were composed by Ilayaraja and the lyrics by Vaali and Piraisoodan.^[3]^[4]
