GothCon

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

GothCon is an annual gaming convention held in Gothenburg, Sweden every year around Easter. Its focus lies primarily on role-playing games (pen-and-paper as well as freeform and live action), card games, board games and miniature wargames. In recent years, attendance has varied between 1 300 and 2 100 visitors each year, with the convention hosted at Hvitfeldtska gymnasiet. According to the convention organizers, GothCon is Sweden's largest and oldest gaming convention.[1]

The most recent convention, which was the 44th since GothCon's inception in 1977, was held online on April 2-4, 2021, after the 2020 convention had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
