Goud is a caste, predominantly Indigenous people in the Indian states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Gouds are traditionally involved in occupation of toddy tapping .[2] However, now a days they are involved in many modern occupations as well.

The Gouds are considered "fairly low" on the caste hierarchy, but are rapidly developing. However, Goud women lag behind in development.[3]
