Grade 8 (stylized as grade 8) was a four-piece nu metal band originating from Los Angeles, California.

History[]

Grade 8 formed in 1996 in the Los Angeles area. They signed with Lava Records in 2002, and released their self-titled debut album grade 8 on February 11, 2003. The band also appeared at Ozzfest that same year

On August 10, 2004, the band released their second album Resurrection via "Sound Barrier Records". Shortly after, they parted ways with Hagblom and Zilch, and replaced Hagblom with drummer Josh Garcia.

On August 4, 2008, the band posted a blog on their MySpace page signaling the end of Grade 8, stating "I think we are just ready to do other things, and we wanted to leave Grade 8 the way it was, not change the sound." The blog goes on to state that they had started a new project called "The Kill Generation", although nothing has been heard of the project since the blog was posted.
