Hani ibn Urwa was a Kufan leader, who hosted Muslim ibn Aqil and was killed by the governor of Kufa Ubayd Allah ibn Ziyad due to ibn Ziyad enmity towards ahle bait.

Hani is buried behind Great Mosque of Kufa, Kufa, Iraq alongside Mukhtar al-Thaqafi.[1][2]
