Hatbor is a small town in Nagaon district, Assam under Kaliabor sub division. The famous Bharali Namghar is about 1 km away from Hatbor. The battle between Mulagabharu and Turbak took place in Hatbor. The river Kolong flows in the north of Hatbor. Hatbor is the birthplace of short story writer . The place has a rich cultural heritage. Presently , Hatbor Kendriya Natya Samaj, , Suraddhani Sanskritik Gosthi are active in the field of culture and literature. Presently a fortnightly news paper 'Jay Janagan' is being published from Hatbor.
