Hawthorne Hotel is a historic hotel located in Salem, Massachusetts. The hotel is named after the novelist Nathaniel Hawthorne.[1] The U.S. News & World Report ranked it the number 1 hotel in Salem.[2] It has been listed as one of the top haunted places in Massachusetts.[3]

Construction of the hotel began in 1924. Then on July 23 1925 the hotel was open.[4]
