Hemosiderin hyperpigmentation

Hemosiderin staining around and above the ankle as an outcome of chronic hypertension.

Hemosiderin hyperpigmentation is pigmentation due to deposits of hemosiderin, and occurs in purpura, , hemorrhagic diseases, and stasis dermatitis.[1]: 853
