Henriette Sabel (née Schneider) is a fictional character from the German soap opera Verbotene Liebe (Forbidden Love). The character was introduced by Susanne Seuffert, who played the role from March 8, 2001 to March 12, 2001.[1] The role was recast in 2010 with Angelika Fornell. She played the part from August 23, 2010 to September 6, 2010. She returned for a few episodes from December 18, 2012 to December 21, 2012.[2]

Henriette is Oliver Sabel (Olli)'s overbearing and conservative mother. She is shocked to find out that her son is in a romantic relationship with another man. Disgusted and disappointed, she leaves town. Olli is left heartbroken by his mother's behavior as his aunt Charlie becomes a mother figure for him in the following years.

Henriette surprisingly returns when Olli is about to marry his longtime boyfriend, Christian Mann. She pleads with him to not undermine the institution of marriage and refuses to attend the wedding. Eventually Christian tells her how much he loves her son and how happy they make each other. In the end, Henriette overcomes her beliefs and attends the wedding. She congratulates the couple and asks for forgiveness. Charlie and Henriette travel for some time before returning to Meppen.

In 2012, Henriette reappears to confront Charlie about the affair she had with her late husband Wolfgang.
