Herbert Pepper (1912-2000) was a French songwriter.

He was born November 14, 1912 in Brest and died February 22, 2000 in Châteauneuf-Grasse. He is the main composer of the national anthem of Senegal[2] and that of the Central African Republic.[3] He'd also served in WW2.[4]
