It reached number four on the UK Singles Chart^[1] and repeated the feat in Canada.^[2] In the US, it reached number 27 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart that same year.^[3]

A cover version by Rita Pavone with Italian lyrics entitled "Qui Ritornerà" went to number one in Italy.^{[citation needed]}
