Hermitage Peak (Antarctica)
Hermitage Peak (81°26′S 160°29′E / 81.433°S 160.483°ECoordinates: 81°26′S 160°29′E / 81.433°S 160.483°E) is a peak, 750 metres (2,460 ft) high, standing 4 nautical miles (7 km) north of Mount Ubique, in the Surveyors Range, Antarctica. It was named by the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition (1960–61) for Hermitage, Berkshire, England, the home of the Royal School of Military Survey.[1]
