Hillcrest Academy (formerly Iowa Mennonite School) is an independent, Christian high school near Kalona, Iowa, established in 1945.

Student body[]

There are about 65 students from ninth grade to twelfth grade. [2]

Theology[]

The school adheres to the Mennonite Confession of Faith,[3] and the teachers at Iowa Mennonite School incorporate Christian perspectives and Mennonite theology into their classrooms.[2]

Athletics[]

Hillcrest Academy's mascot is the Ravens. Hillcrest is a member of the Iowa High School Athletic Association (IHSAA), the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU), and the Southeast Iowa Superconference (SEISC).[4] The sports offered at Hillcrest Academy are baseball, boys basketball, girls basketball, cheerleading, cross country, golf, boys soccer, softball, track, and volleyball.[4] It also has a partnership with Clear Creek Amana Community School District for football[5] and Mid-Prairie Community Schools for girls soccer.[6]
