Hinatazaka de Aimashō (日向坂で会いましょう), formerly known as Hiragana Oshi (ひらがな推し, "Hiragana Supporters"), is a Japanese late night variety show starring idol group Hinatazaka46. It is hosted by the comedy duo Audrey and airs every Sunday at 1:05 AM JST on TV Tokyo.

History[]

As a subgroup of Keyakizaka46, Hiragana Keyakizaka46 members initially appeared on Keyakitte, Kakenai? with the main members. In March 2018, a new show for the subgroup was announced, named Hiragana Oshi.[1] After episode 5, a song performance was included at the end of the show.

Following Hiragana Keyakizaka46's name change to Hinatazaka46, beginning from the 8 April 2019 episode, Hiragana Oshi was also renamed to Hinatazaka de Aimashō.[2][3] Hinatazaka de Aimashō also airs in a larger area than the previous show.[4]

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, starting from the 17 May 2020 episode, the program transitioned from recording in a studio to recording remotely via Zoom.[5] It returned to studio recording, with various health precautions, since the 18 July 2020 episode.[6]

Reception[]

Hinatazaka de Aimashō has been noted to be "funnier" than the usual idol variety shows and at times "deviated" from the idol show formula to that of comedy shows. This is attributed to the Hinatazaka46 members' "greed" for laughter, a trait normally possessed by comedians. The interaction between the members and Audrey is also positively received, as well as the quality of post-production work.[7][8][9]
