Hirut Meshesha (born 20 January 2001) is an Ethiopian athlete who specializes in the 800 metres.

Career[]

At the 2017 IAAF World U18 Championships held in Nairobi, Kenya she won the bronze medal in the . She also won the bronze medal in the girls' 800 metres event at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics. In 2019, she competed at the 2019 African U18 and U20 Championships in Athletics and won the silver medal in the Women (U20) category.

In 2019, she won the gold medal in the women's 800 metres event at the 2019 Ethiopian Athletics Championships held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. A few months later, she represented Ethiopia at the 2019 African Games held in Rabat, Morocco and she won the gold medal in the women's 800 metres event.[1][2][3]
