Hobbs Municipal Schools

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hobbs Municipal Schools (HMS) is a school district based in Hobbs, New Mexico.

In addition to Hobbs it serves Monument, Nadine, and North Hobbs.[1]

History[]

In 2019 the district had about 10,000 students. In 2020, because schools in New Mexico ended in-person learning because of the COVID-19 pandemic in New Mexico and because Texas schools in general had better academic reputations than New Mexican schools, several New Mexico students moved to Texas. In 2020 the enrollment figures were down 1,232.[2]
