Holotrichia danielssoni, is a species of dung beetle found in Sri Lanka.[1]

Description[]

Average length is about 18 to 21 mm. In male, body strongly elongate and reddish brown in color. Head, pronotum and legs are much darker. Abdomen shiny and yellow-brown in color. Head short, and transverse. Clypeus short, shiny, and coarsely punctated. Eyes large. Antennae divided into 10 segments and show a strong tendency to fusion of segments. Pronotum moderately transverse. Scutellum moderate with rounded apes with and puntures only in laterally. Elytra long with 3 distinct ribs and pronounced humeral callus. Pygidium convex and narrowly bordered. Legs long and tarsi without punctures. Fore tibiae tridentate, with a strong apical thorn. In female, elytra more shiny than male.
