Hot Pursuit is an American reality television series that aired on Court TV. It is produced by Bullseye Productions, with the producer being Phil Ward. The running time of Hot Pursuit is 30 minutes. The series slogan is "The Chase Is On".
Format[]
The series is originally narrated by Russ Harris, with later episodes narrated by Greg O'Neil.[citation needed]
The show features unusual police chases and non-routine traffic stops, often with highly dangerous criminals. Although not all footage is dashboard camera related, it also sometimes features bait car busts and bad drivers inside the station. Sometimes, the footage shown is not finished. The video and clips seen are always non-fatal, and only in the rare cases will there be a serious incident shown. However, show counterparts such as Most Shocking and other Court TV programs have routinely displayed fatal footage.
All footage used in the series was recorded in the United States and Canada.
Production[]
Hot Pursuit first aired on February 1, 2006. In early 2007, the series aired on Thursdays at 8:00pm and 8:30pm ET. New episodes ran from 2006 through 2007, consisting of two seasons with an approximate total of 53 episodes. On Tuesday October 9, 2007, The show was played for a full hour at 10:00pm ET known as The Best of Hot Pursuit, displaying its previous footage from past episodes.
The third season premiered on October 15, 2007 with "The Chase Is On" slogan. A fourth season premiered on September 7, 2008, with new episodes airing every Sunday night.

DVD releases[]
Season 1 of Hot Pursuit came out in October 2006. In most occurrences, the only available way to purchase it is via online order with stores such as Best Buy and Circuit City, and sold on eBay for $9.98. The first DVD showcases 15 episodes from the show, all including original footage and the same narrator seen on TV.
