Hugh Joseph Maguire is an American film and television actor. He is notable for playing the role of "Ed Mathews" in the short-lived sitcom television series Live-In.[1] He also played the recurring role of "Hugh" in Cheers on fifteen episodes.[2]

Maguire guest-starred in television programs, including, 227, Knots Landing. Growing Pains, Wings and L.A. Law. He also appared in films, such as, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Vanishing on 7th Street, The Double.[3] Maguire most recent appearance was from the 2021 film No Sudden Move, playing the role of "Mel Forbert".[4][5]
