Hyundai E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform) is a dedicated electric vehicle platform for Hyundai Motor Group automobiles. It is the first electric-only dedicated platform by Hyundai. It is to be used for Hyundai and Kia automobiles from 2021.[1]

The platform is an 800 V architecture with scalable wheelbase length, and supports batteries from multiple manufacturers. The Li-ion batteries are pouch-sized and the battery-pack is designed to be 13 cm tall. The semiconductor power electronics will be silicon carbide-based to minimize conversion losses. The electronics support both 400 V and 800 V charging and bi-directional charging ( (110/230 V and up to 3,5 kW), V2V and V2G).[2]

The 500+ km WLTP-range battery pack will support 200 kW fast charging (80% SOC of 77.4kWh in 18mins), and Hyundai claim an 18-minute 0-80% charging speed.[3]

The platform supports a wheelbase exceeding 3,000 mm (118.1 in) and both 2WD and dual motor AWD are supported.[4]
