The ITV Proxima is a French single-place, paraglider that was designed by Xavier Demoury and produced by ITV Parapentes of Épagny, Haute-Savoie. It is now out of production.[1]

Design and development[]

The Proxima was designed as a beginner glider. The models are each named for their approximate wing area in square metres.[1]

Proxima 24
Extra small-sized model for lighter pilots. Its 10.40 m (34.1 ft) span wing has a wing area of 23.7 m2 (255 sq ft), 36 cells and the aspect ratio is 4.58:1. The pilot weight range is 50 to 70 kg (110 to 154 lb). The glider model is CEN Standard certified.[1]
Proxima 26
Small-sized model for lighter pilots. Its 10.90 m (35.8 ft) span wing has a wing area of 25.8 m2 (278 sq ft), 36 cells and the aspect ratio is 4.58:1. The pilot weight range is 70 to 90 kg (154 to 198 lb). The glider model is CEN Standard certified.[1]
Proxima 28
Mid-sized model for medium-weight pilots. Its 11.32 m (37.1 ft) span wing has a wing area of 28 m2 (300 sq ft), 36 cells and the aspect ratio is 4.58:1. The pilot weight range is 90 to 110 kg (198 to 243 lb). The glider model is CEN Standard certified.[1]
Proxima 31
Large-sized model for heavier pilots. Its 12.40 m (40.7 ft) span wing has a wing area of 31.05 m2 (334.2 sq ft), 36 cells and the aspect ratio is 4.58:1. The pilot weight range is 110 to 140 kg (243 to 309 lb). The glider model is CEN Standard certified.[1]
