I Want You Back is an upcoming American romantic comedy film directed by Jason Orley from an screenplay by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger. The film stars Charlie Day, Jenny Slate, Gina Rodriguez, Scott Eastwood, Manny Jacinto and Mason Gooding.[1]

It is scheduled to be released on February 11, 2022, by Amazon Studios.

Plot[]

Peter and Emma are two thirty-somethings who have each been left by their respective partners. Unwilling to admit that their relationships are over and fearing that they will be forever alone, the two decide to team up to win their exes back by destroying their new relationships.

In February 2021 Deadline announced that Jenny Slate and Charlie Day were confirmed as starring in I Want You Back, a romantic comedy to be released through Amazon Studios.[1] Jason Orley was also announced as director and that he would adapt a screenplay written by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger.[2] Charlie Day, Adam Londy and Bart Lipton will serve as the executive producers for I Want You Back, which will be produced via The Safran Company and The Walk-Up Company.[3]

Filming[]

Principal photography began in March 2021 in Atlanta, Georgia.[4][2] On April 16, 2021 it was announced that the Savannah Regional Film Commission says extras are needed for four days of filming in Savannah on April 27 through the 30th.[5][6]

Release[]

It is scheduled to be released on February 11, 2022.[7]
