Indira Tiwari is an Indian film and theatre actress who primarily appears in Hindi-language films. She has starred in the films Nazarband (2020), Serious Men (2020), and Gangubai Kathiawadi (2021).

Career[]

Tiwari began her acting career by portraying a student in Prakash Jha's 2011 Bollywood movie Aarakshan. She has appeared in several short films: Ekanth (as Reena), The Manliest Man (as Sarla), and Unfair (as Ayesha).

She has starred in the 2020 film Nazarband directed by Suman Mukhopadhyay and based on a short story by Ashapurna Devi.[1][2][3] She also starred as the female lead alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui in director Sudhir Mishra's 2020 Netflix original Serious Men[4][5][6][7]

She also stars in the film Gangubai Kathiawadi, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and based on the book Mafia Queens of Mumbai by Hussain Zaidi, scheduled to be released on July 30, 2021.[8]

Education[]

Tiwari holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Barkatullah University and completed a master's degree from the National School of Drama in 2018.
