Innerstate Records (also known as Innerstate) was a San Francisco Bay Area based rock and alternative American record label in the 1990s and 2000s.[1][2][3]

History[]

Formed in 1998 by singer/songwriters and producers Russ Tolman and Pat Thomas,[4] Innerstate Records continues today distributing its catalog as a digital label via distributor The Orchard.[5] It spawned two offshoot labels innerSPACE,[6] which specialized in space rock, prog and krautrock and WEED,[7] which was a catch-all for eclectic releases. The labels released both new recordings and reissues.[8]
