Islamic Azad University, Shahrekord Branch

Islamic Azad University, Shahrekord Branch (IAUSHK) is a satellite campus of the Islamic Azad University of Iran that is located in (Rahmatieh) of Shahrekord.

Established in 1987 IAUSHK has over 42,000 students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels who have graduated. IAUSHK has 310 full and part-time faculty members and engages in educational and research activities in 120 fields.

Department of Biomedical Engineering[]

Research in biomedical engineering includes biological signal processing, biomedical image processing, and biomedical instrumentation. Research in the field of mechatronics is actively pursued in fault diagnosis and biomechatronics.

Department of Electrical Engineering[]

Research includes nanoelectronics and nanostructures, microscale electronic circuits, systems, and devices, in electronics, and large scale systems such as power plants and smart power distribution networks in power engineering. In the field of communications, research comprises electromagnetic fields and waves as well as communication circuits and systems realized using both regular and optical approaches.

Faculty of Veterinary[]

For fresh water saving, a research project titled "Reuse of wastewater for irrigation of landscape Khorasgan (Isfahan) Branch, Islamic Azad University" was undertaken by Dr Payam Najafi from 2005 until 2009. Following this research, a large scale project was designed for reuse of the wastewater of public buildings of university for irrigation of pine, cypress and olive trees in area of main campus of university. The components of project include Sewage Collection Network, initial wastewater treatment, central control unit of irrigation and subsurface drip irrigation.

Greenhouses drain water reuse[]

For the purpose of increasing greenhouse production, the drain water of flowers greenhouse were used for irrigation of cucumber and tomato greenhouses.
