Issey Takahashi or Issei Takahashi (高橋 一生, Takahashi Issei, born December 9, 1980, in Tokyo, Japan)[1] is a Japanese actor and singer.

Biography[]

Takahashi was born as the eldest son in Akasaka, Minato Ward, Tokyo. He has four half-brothers, including the musician, Yuma Abe. He looked after his younger siblings when they were infants, and has been more like a father-figure to them. Takahashi and his mother, who had married three times, had been estranged for about 10 years. He finally reconciled with her a week before her passing in 2015.

In childhood, Takahashi’s grandmother got him to take various lessons to bring him out of his shell, but he did not last long with any of them. He joined a children's theatre and was moved by his grandmother's delight in seeing him perform in the company's regular shows.

Takahashi has a talent for skateboarding, basketball, guitar, and harmonica. He has names for his furniture and house plants.  

His favorite comedians include FUJIWARA and Takayuki Haranishi.

On March 7, 2017, he opened his Instagram account.[2] On May 10, 2017, he closes his Instagram account.[3]
