In 1953, he named one of the meritorious men of The Malacological Society of Japan.[2] From 1961 to 1965, he worked as the branch manager of the Faculty of Fisheries and Animal Husbandry annex, Hiroshima University Library. After retirement, he became professor emeritus of Hiroshima University.[2] In addition, he served as the president of The Malacological Society of Japan from 1963 to 1978.
